West Berkshire Council (WBC) is responding to several coronavirus cases at its Willows Edge home, Hutton Close.
Five residents have died since the outbreak began, of which three have been confirmed as having the virus.
Others remain unwell
The first positive test was on December 6, and since then a number of staff and residents have tested positive.
It is not yet known how the virus entered the care home despite the strict infection control measures that have been in place for some time.
In response to the outbreak, WBC is working with teams from Public Health England and the NHS Rapid Response Team with testing in place for residents and staff and a medical team based at the home to provide medical care for the residents. ....
