WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - It was a night honoring and remembering a young woman who died last week after she was found unconscious in downtown Watertown.
âShe was very selfless. Kind. Caring. She put everyone above her own.â
Thatâs how Rayne Stokes is remembered by the people who are closest to her.
On Thursday night hundreds gathered to remember the 19-year-old.
Rayne was found unconscious on the Veterans Memorial Riverwalk in Watertown early Friday morning. She was taken to Samaritan Medical Center and passed away shortly after. ....

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - The Watertown Police Department is investigating the death of a female, who was found lying in the middle of the road at the Veterans Memorial Riverwalk early Friday morning.
Officers received a report about the female shortly after 3 a.m.
When they arrived on the scene, they found her unconscious.
She was rushed to Samaritan Medical Center, where she died shortly after 5:30 a.m. ....

Police Investigate Death of Woman Found in the Middle of the Street in Upstate NY

Police in upstate New York are investigating the death of a woman who was found lying in the middle of the road.
On Friday morning, at around 3 a.m., Watertown police received a call near the Black River. Upon arrival, officers found the woman unconscious in the road on Veterans Memorial Riverwalk, according to WWTI and NNY306.

She was taken to a nearby hospital, where hours later she died.
It remains unclear how the woman died and whether investigators believe foul play was involved, WWNY reports. ....
