Weymouth Lifeboat rescues paddle boarders blown out to sea

The RNLI which were involved in the rescue, had issued a warning ahead of the weekend for strong easterly winds which were forecast to increase in strength on Friday through to Saturday.
It meant beaches along the south coast - which are usually sheltered from the prevailing winds - experienced dangerous conditions .
The charity had warned paddle boarders and kayakers in particular to take extra care as the strong winds meant there was a risk of them being carried out.
It was these conditions which appeared to have caught the paddle boarders out and blew them out to sea.
A spokesman for Weymouth Lifeboat Station said: Weymouth RNLI all-weather lifeboat was launched at 1.10pm on Saturday to go to the aid of two paddle boarders who were reported to be in difficulties approx quarter of a mile west of Chesil Cove. ....
