Kenney promises help lowering speed limit on Route 11
April 28, 2021The town will get some help from its executive councilor after a petition to lower the speed on a section of Route 11 during the summer has received no response from the state.
Executive Councilor Joe Kenney paid the Gilford selectmen a visit during the April 15 meeting and town administrator Scott Dunn asked for his help on the proposal from last fall.
Last November, the board approved a motion to petition the Department of Transportation for a seasonal speed limit on Route 11 between Riley Road and the Ellacoya Bar and Grille, lowering the speed from 40 miles per hour to 30 in the period of Memorial Day and Labor Day. Police chief Anthony Bean Burpee presented the proposal to the selectmen after meeting with Public Works director Meghan Theriault and Planning and Land Use director John Ayer. ....

mpulztrack3r, welcome to the forum. You bring up a really good question. On paper, the Speed Twin was a lovely motorcycle but its sales in India never really took off. Ive always thought of it as being both a sensible gentleman s superbike and a gentleman s sensible superbike. Reviews from the international media were very positive but I dont know of anyone who has bought it in India and Ive never seen one come up in the preowned market.
I can think of a few reasons as to why it didnt click in India. ....

MINGORA: The Swat district administration on Tuesday cleared the road by removing the speed-breakers after a user of social networking site Facebook drew the attention of the illegal speed breakers in the Sangota area of Babuzai Tehsil here.
With active interaction of Deputy Commissioner Junaid Khan on the social networking website Facebook, the people have come in direct contact with him to solve their problems and various issues are being pointed out by the youth through pictures and videos.
A Facebook user pointed out illegal speed-breakers set up on Sangota Road, causing traffic problems and inconvenience to commuters. ....
