MEDINA, Misamis Oriental, May 26 In keeping with Executive Order (EO) 70 or the whole-of-nation approach, the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) led by Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has launched a livelihood training program titled Project UNO (Unleashing New Opportunities thru Skills Training) for the beneficiaries in Barangay San Jose, Medina, Misamis Oriental on Tuesday, May 25.
TESDA-Misamis Oriental through Cagayan de Oro (Bugo) School of Arts and Trades (COBSAT) spearheaded the livelihood training program for some 30 women-beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)- Misamis Oriental Provincial Office represented by Ronald Legaspi facilitated the entrepreneurship training to enhance the participants entrepreneurial skills.
STA. CRUZ, Ilocos Sur, May 17 (PIA) – The Department of Science and Technology in the Ilocos (DOST 1), through its Provincial Science and Technology Center - Ilocos Sur (PSTC-IS), conducted a livelihood training on tomato processing at Camanggaan village here on May 14.
DOST, as a member of the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) of the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC), is implementing the Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) program and organized the said training for the tomato growers of barangay Camanggaan to provide them with additional income and alternative livelihood.
A total of 22 farmers were taught how to make tomato ketchup, tomato sauce, tomato salsa, and tomato jam.
