Woden town cramming, can it get any worse?

The planned Woden bus interchange… the proposed new design sees the interchange relocated on to the street to make way for the new CIT building.
“The bad news for anyone who wants to access the Woden Town Centre is that the bureaucratic planners have come up with another unbelievable strategy to mess with Woden,” writes “Canberra Matters” columnist
PAUL COSTIGAN.
FOR the ACT’s Labor/Greens coalition politicians, planning is not something they worry about much despite it being something of major concern to residents.
Paul Costigan.
Once elected, ACT politicians become busy people with meetings to go to, loads of busy words to write and photo opportunities to be taken up. They do not bother about planning until it becomes annoying around election time. ....

Woden takes brunt of developer-led planning

“With 24 apartment towers and about 10,000 residents due to appear in the Woden Town Centre, this government has not prepared the area for this new high-rise suburb,” writes “Canberra Matters” columnist
PAUL COSTIGAN.
IT has been about 18 months since I wrote a full piece about the Woden Town Centre and the ever-increasing planning issues that plague residents.
Paul Costigan.
Still no-one in this government is listening or delivering on what some went to the 2020 elections promising – “Building a Better Normal”. Maybe the ACT Greens’ version of the better normal was always a degraded standard of living for Woden residents while being an even-better normal for developers. ....
