My wife, Sergeant Sharon McKee, and I began our post at the Salvation Army in Loudoun in April 2020 – right at the beginning of the pandemic. Immediately, we were introduced to the Advisory Board for our Corps. I would like to respond to the letter from Sharon Magee, who stated my sister’s family (Katherine Kinnear Tessier) complained loudly and bitterly about the lockdowns. I am a proud sister, aunt, great-aunt, and great-great aunt. She also made comments about them not wearing masks or socially distancing. In reply ma’am, yes they all live in one house. So there is no need for them to be masked or distanced! You see, they are a very close family. My sister Katherine lost her husband 2.5 years ago after 41 years of marriage. Her husband never got to meet his first great-grandson. Aster’s first birthday was a day of immense joy for the family. ....
