BAD AXE, MI Police have identified a body found in a ditch in Huron County as that of a woman who was recently reported missing.
The body of 53-year-old Christina I. Klosowski of Sebewaing was found the morning of Saturday, April 3, in a water-filled ditch along Kilmanagh Road in Brookfield Township. A passerby had spotted the body and called 911.
Autopsy results showed Klosowski died of hypothermia, said Michigan State Police 1st Lt. Brian McComb. The body bore no signs of trauma, he added. ....

BAD AXE The Huron County Board of Commissioners were set to interview five candidates to replace retiring road commissioner Michael Power at their upcoming meeting.
The five candidates are James Childs, Michael LePage, J. Dean Smith, Kevin Roestel, and Erik Voelker. After each goes through a 15-minute interview, the commissioners will decide which one gets to serve on the road commission.
The interviews were originally going to take place on Dec. 9, but the commissioners’ meeting has been postponed twice. ....
