The Joint Action Committee for Shia Missing Persons announced on Wednesday it would start a sit-in tomorrow (April 2) and continue protesting till the recovery of all “missing’ persons” of the community.
Allama Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi, the Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen’s central deputy secretary-general and a leader of the action committee, made the announcement at a press conference. He said the Joint Action Committee, a joint platform of representative organisations of the Shia community, had given an ultimatum to the government to produce all missing persons in court by March 31; otherwise, it committee would stage a sit-in at Numaish Chowrangi. ....

Karachi [Pakistan], March 16 (ANI): Pakistan s Joint Action Committee (JAC) for Shiamissing persons and families of enforced disappearance has called for a nationwide protest from April onwards if their family members are not recovered by the end of this month.
Addressing a press briefing at the Karachi Press Club on Monday, JAC members expressed concerns over the disappearance of their relatives and alleged that the Pakistan government and state institutions were not serious in their recovery, reported the Dawn.
The JAC members said despite repeated assurances from the Pakistan authorities, the missing persons had not been traced. ....

(Togo First) - Agbanga Karité Alaffia, the shea nut processing firm owned by the Togolese Olowo-N’djo Tchala, will receive financing from the West Africa Trade & Investment Hub. The latter is a trade hub financed by USAID. It supports private businesses in West Africa, regarding sustainable development issues.
The investment will be used to
“purchase shea nut supplies and others worth $299,000, as well as to produce shea butter which will be exported to the US and other countries in 2021.”
For Alaffia, the financing will help it meet its increasing costs, amid restrictions induced by Covid-19. ....
