Shirley Roann (Rueckert) Deering of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17th, 2021 after a brief illness. Born in Westgate, Iowa in 1930, Shirley graduated from West Central High School in Maynard, IA, then went on to graduate from nursing school. She lived in Chicago, IL for many years with her husband, Herb, before they moved to Kennesaw, GA. She worked as a nurse and rehabilitation nursing consultant in both locations before her retirement.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ina Rueckert of Iowa, her sister, Margie Nauholz, formerly of Arlington,Iowa, and her beloved husband, Herbert Deering. She is survived by her sister, Darlene Garner of New York, and loving nieces, nephews, and their families. ....
