MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The line at the Pipkin Building stretched around the block until word that the vaccines were all gone.
Long lines. Short tempers. Folks who’d signed up in advance to get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine Monday waited all day only to be told “sorry” all the vaccine is gone.
Around 7:30 Monday night, cars were lined up at the fairgrounds in Midtown. Anxious people waiting for their shots. Shots they never got because they were told to leave. ....

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - For the second day straight lines at the Pipkin Building vaccination site started early and continued throughout the day.
“If this is the best that can be done I’m ashamed of where I live,” said Jimmie Jones.
Everyone we spoke to on Wednesday all had appointments and were still waiting hours after their scheduled time. ....

MEMPHIS, Tennessee The Shelby County Health Department is considering returning to a stay-at-home health directive as Tennessee leads the country with the highest number of new COVID-19 cases by population.
A new directive could come as early as Monday but many restaurants have started putting their own restrictions in place days before.
On December 17, Tsunami, located in Cooper-Young, announced it would close indoor dining and instead offer to-go meals and deliveries. ....
