Sawyer Free Public Library kicks off summer reading program

The Sawyer Free Public Library announced that its  Summer at the Library  program has officially kicked off.
The theme is  Tails and Tales,  and it has opportunities to read great books, enjoy unique experiences and win prizes.
Summer is the perfect time for people of all ages to take advantage of the Sawyer Free Library and everything we offer from educational and engaging programming to fun reading challenges, said Library Director Jenny Benedict.
Studies show that during the summer months kids who don’t read experience a summer slump’ and those that do, even if it’s just a few books, retain their reading and comprehension skills.
