Brendemuehl obit – Chipley Bugle


Betty S. Brendemuehl, 95, passed away peacefully at home on July 6, 2021 in Marianna, Florida.
Betty was born August 1, 1925 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While living in Milwaukee, she completed her teaching degree at what was then Milwaukee State Teachers College. She met and married her husband, Ray, in 1950. His career with the US Forest Service took them to the research station in Marianna in 1957, where they lived happy and full lives.
Betty began teaching in the Jackson County School System, where she taught 8th grade science for 23 years. While teaching, she completed her masters at Florida State University. Post retirement, she enjoyed family trips, travel, and volunteering with the Jackson County Public Library. She had a lively passion for reading and bridge-especially duplicate bridge. ....

Willie “Billie” Windsor Wester Dickson, 89, of the Inwood Community near Grand Ridge, departed from this world to her eternal home in Heaven in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 23, 2021.
She passed away at the Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, Florida, where she received excellent medical services and loving care. Born to William Washington Wester and Pencie Audry Windsor Wester on October 30, 1931, she was the last surviving and oldest of four children born to that union. Billie was born at home and grew up in Inwood, a small community that was settled and named by her father.
Billie was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Jeanne W. Pelt and Rebekah W. Harrell; her brother, Doyle A. “Jack” Wester (wife Nell); three half-sisters, Nettye Chancey, Annette Bevis, and Elee Glisson; and one half-brother, Emmett Wester. Also predeceasing her were two nephews, Maurice (Maury) Harrell and Gregory Harrell; and one great-nephew, Luke Pelt. ....

Willie Risher Cloud, age 91, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Risher, as he was known by family and friends, was born on August 16, 1929 in the Parramore community. He entered the United States Army in February of 1951 and served his country until February of 1956. He married Patricia Pollitt in 1954. Together they raised four children, Billy, Danny, Ricky, and Kathy. After being honorably discharged from the army, he worked as a steeple jack for many years before moving back to the Parramore community and settling on his family’s old home place. Risher loved working in his garden and sharing his harvest of beautiful vegetables with his friends and family. Risher had a great love of people and his community and loved nothing more than talking with others about days gone by. ....

Daniels obit – Chipley Bugle


Ester “Frank” Daniels, 88, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021, following a short illness.
Frank was predeceased by his parents Wilton and Phronie Peacock Daniels, of Marianna, Fl, one brother, Leo Daniels of Evergreen, Al, one sister, Lois Simmons Locke of Marianna, Fl and his wife Josie “Jo” Tipton Daniels, also of Marianna, Fl.
Frank enjoyed life and never took it for granted. He served one term in the U.S. Airforce, both at Patrick AF Base and also a brief stint in Narsarsuaq, Greenland where he received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.  However, his attention turned to the love of his life “Jo”, of which he was favored with a wonderful marriage of over 50 years. He and Jo both were Jehovah’s Witnesses beginning in the 70’s and continued throughout until their deaths. ....

Maurice Omar Cabrera, 57, of West Palm Beach, passed away on January 31, 2021 from complications arising from Covid.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne (Poirier) Cabrera, his son Alex, his daughter Rachel, his parents Patricia and Otto Cabrera, sister Regina ”Gigi” Kettering (David), brother Christopher (Ali), brother-in- laws Omer Poirier (Heather), Douglas Poirier (Lynne), 4 nieces and 2 nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Allison.
Maurice was born in Marianna, Florida on June 9, 1963. He attended Marianna High School where he excelled in the classroom and as a member of the Bulldog football and wrestling teams. He graduated fromFlorida State University in 1988 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. ....
