OGTC has extended its latest Call for Ideas, with the organization set to invest up to £1million in game-changing technologies which will accelerate hydrogen production, transportation, storage, and utilization.

The call follows a host of recent government announcements including the Scottish Government Hydrogen Policy Statement and the £10billion of funding in the North Sea Transition Deal.
Submissions to the Call for Ideas must focus on technologies which will decarbonise offshore operations and help the UK become the world’s first net-zero basin. ....

Scotland makes ambitious statement of intent over hydrogen development

Scotland s government has made a commitment to help the development of hydrogen energy through a policy statement issued this week.
Scottish ambitions include a target of generating five gigawatts of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen power by 2030.
The statement was backed by a five-year, £100 million hydrogen-funding facility, linked to Scotland’s Emerging Energy Technologies Fund and forming part of the devolved government’s climate change initiative.
