Old hall gifted as church prepares for construction

She said occasionally people slept outside but were welcomed into the church.
St Peter s Anglican Church at Maroochydore will soon have a new hall, with its former building gifted to a disability service at Darling Downs.
“Homelessness is a big issue,” she said.
“We do have a lot of people just dropping in and sometimes they just want to have a chat.
“They’re real people just like us and that’s exactly how they’re treated,” she said.
Ms Eichler said it was important the new hall was just as humble and welcoming to all.

Last Sunday, all roads led to the St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Ogberuru, the home Church of the Primate of All Nigeria, the Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, where together with his wife, children and friends, he thanked God for elevating him to the office of the Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate of Nigeria.
The emergence of Archbishop Ndukuba as Primate is historic, as he became the first core Igbo to be made a Primate since 1842, when the Church came to Nigeria.
The Thanksgiving service, attended by about 72 Bishops, was conducted by the Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, the Most Rev. David Onuoha, while the Dean of Church of Nigeria, the Most Rev. Buba Lamido, delivered the sermon. ....
