The Stamford Art Association presents the 21st Annual Vivian and Stanley Reed Marine Show Virtual Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony June 12th 4 PM.
Exhibit Dates: June 12-July 17, 2021
To help celebrate the Stamford Art Association s 50th year, we will select 50 artists to be in this virtual exhibit. This is a multimedia juried exhibit with cash prizes. We asked artists to submit 1-5 pieces of artwork on the theme of any subject depicting the sea, the seashore, boats and activity on or near the water. The exhibit is named after Vivian and Stanley Reed, two founding members of SAA and avid sailors. Winning artists will be asked to be part of a video. The juror is Mike Bagley, Director of Marine Operations for SoundWaters, and an artist. ....

Norwalk, CT – The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum and The Stamford Art Association are issuing a Call for Artists for a juried exhibition titled, Envisioning Space: Architecture Through the Ages.
The deadline to submit is June 26, 2021 by midnight. This juried exhibition will be on view at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, 295 West Avenue, Norwalk, CT on Oct. 20 through Dec. 19, 2021 with an artist reception on Oct. 28th, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Artists can enter their work by visiting: EntryThingy www.entrythingy.com/d=stamfordartassociation.org#show=7866 as the jurying process will be conducted online. A non-refundable fee of $25 for the first image and $15 for additional images per artist added at the same time will be required through EntryThingy. Only hand delivered work will be accepted and must be wired and ready for hanging. ....

The Stamford Art Association (SAA) and The Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists (CSOPA) have partnered to create a special event paying tribute to mothers.
The online exhibition, Artistic Celebration of Motherhood, is a multi-media event featuring original art ranging from classic portraiture to abstract expressionism. Each of the sponsors will exhibit a display of their artwork with a link to the other organization s artwork. This is a multimedia juried exhibit with cash prizes.
SAA is asking artists to submit 1-5 pieces of artwork on the theme of Motherhood. If you are entering with a painting, drawing or sculpture of classic representational portraits, you must enter through the CSOPA website, here. ....
