IN CELEBRATION of this year’s International Nurses Day, Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has unveiled a piece of artwork painted by a nurse at the trust who turned to painting during the coronavirus pandemic and produced a piece to reflect their experience.
Staff nurse and budding artist Laura Ghosh has been a nurse for 12 years and started at the trust in 2016, working within the surgical division. When COVID-19 hit in March 2020, Laura was redeployed to the intensive care unit (ICU) at Royal County Hampshire Hospital (RHCH) in Winchester. ....

A HOSPITAL trust has welcomed four new governors to help influence how its services are developed and delivered.
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT), which runs the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester is welcoming the latest members of the Council of Governors to join the team.
The council works alongside the Board of Directors in ensuring that communities and staff have an influence in how services are developed and delivered by the trust.
It is made up of members of fifteen public governors, five staff governors and five appointed governors.

THE trust which runs Winchester hospital, Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is backing a new NHS campaign to urge families to talk about organ donation following research that less than half of adults in England have had the conversation.
The Leave Them Certain campaign aims to highlight the impact not knowing has on the families who are left behind and encourage people talk about their decision. It follows the law change last year in England, which means that all adults are seen as willing to donate their organs, unless they opt out or are in one of the excluded groups. ....
