STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A city plan to add elevators and other station access to the Staten Island Railway will be discussed on Wednesday, April 14, during a public virtual meeting of a Community Board 3 committee.
The Land Use Committee will hear from representatives of the city Department of City Planning (DCP) and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) during the 7 p.m. meeting. When repairs to the F line’s East River tunnel wrapped in late March, the MTA hailed the earlier-than-expected completion of work inside the last of the eight subway tubes damaged by Hurricane Sandy back in 2012.
