On January 16, 2021, after much prayer and with a grieving heart, the Columbus Ghanaian Seventh-day Adventist Church voted to remove Samuel Koranteng-Pipim from membership for alleged sexual offenses. The Ohio Conference of Seventh-day Adventists supports the decision of this local church, saddened by the pain this moment has brought. Furthermore, we wish to provide added comment on the situation. ....

Doha: The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has published on its website a document titled “Qatar Spectrum Outlook.” The document is one of its kind in the region that provides the stakeholders and interested parties with an overview of CRA’s overall approach to managing Qatar’s radio spectrum affairs until 2022.
The Spectrum Outlook includes CRA’s priorities related to some of its planned programs and projects for the radio spectrum until 2022, including CRA’s plans to update the National Frequency Allocation Plan (NFAP), review the radio spectrum usage fees, and the mechanism of the Quality of Service mobile networks audit, also it highlights some of CRA’s strategic projects that will be implemented before FIFA World Cup - Qatar 2022. ....

When the Executive Committee of the General Conference recently decided to postpone for a second time the General Conference Session, there were many contributing reasons. Naturally, the most significant reason was the travel restrictions emanating from the continuing coronavirus pandemic. It’s hard to bring people together from around the world if people can’t obtain visas, get on planes, and fly to a central location.
But another major reason for the delay lies in the requirements for the Session that are spelled out in the General Conference Constitution and Bylaws. Any changes to those stipulations can only be changed at an in-person session of the General Conference. In other words, a GC Session needs to be held to make any changes to the way that a GC Session can be held. That is why the Session could not simply be moved to an online Zoom meeting ....
