| Updated: 1:47 a.m. Fire Management officials at Zion National Park said Wednesday afternoon that they had contained a four-and-a-half acre fire at the park. The fire was near the national park’s South Campground, according to a park news release. There might be smoke visible from the burn site over the next few days. Park officials say the fire was started by a human and is under investigation. It was the third human-started fire in Color Country on Wednesday. Officials asked people to remember that conditions are dry in low elevations. Although this fire was contained, fires have caused trouble in Zion before. In July 2007, a wildfire that burned 8,400 acres led to evacuations in the area. ....
