EXETER – The upcoming Huntington Heroes National Virtual Walk May 29-30 provides the opportunity to raise money and awareness for Huntington’s disease.
While there won’t be the traditional large celebration and walk at MacNaughton Park this year, locals can still participate in the national virtual walk.

The Huntington Society of Canada is organizing the event and has the goal to make the 2021 Huntington Heroes National Walk its biggest yet.
In a press release, the Society said, “It’s an aspirational aim, but we’re sure we can do it – with your help. For one thing, with our virtual walk format, we are able to reach everyone in Canada, no matter where they live. The virtual format allows participants to walk in their own neighbourhoods – geographically separate, but united in spirit ....

Condolences to the family of Marilyn Jean Trentham (nee Kaechele)

August 26, 1950 - February 28, 2021
It is with sadness in our hearts that we share news of Marilyn’s passing on Sunday, February 28th, 2021 after a long, hard-fought battle with Huntington’s Disease.
Marilyn Jean Kaechele was the eldest of 2 daughters born to George & Jean Kaechele. Marilyn and her sister Edi grew up on the family farm just east of Three Hills. She is predeceased by both parents, Jean in 1987 and George in 2010.
Marilyn married Gary Trentham in 1969 and moved to Drumheller. Early on, she worked for a local Credit Union, then Alberta Power in Drum before starting her own
successful bookkeeping business, which she operated until the effects of Huntington’s made it impossible to carry on. ....
