Authorities in Houston remained uncertain Saturday why a 39-year-old gunman shot and killed a man at the city’s aquarium and wounded his wife on Thursday night.
But they revealed some information about the criminal history of the dead suspect, Danny Cazares, who authorities claim turned his weapon on himself after shooting the couple.
Cazares had been freed from jail on bond last April, after being taken into custody on a charge of being a felon in possession of a weapon, FOX 26 of Houston reported. ....

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized a load of smuggled semi-automatic rifles during an attempt to cross into Mexico from Texas. The officers seized eight rifles and magazines.
CBP officers assigned to the Del Rio Port of Entry on May 25 observed a 2021 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck and trailer approaching for an exit inspection, according to information obtained from CBP’s Office of Field Operations. The officers referred the driver to a secondary inspection station.

A family of four is facing murder charges after they killed a neighbor in what authorities are calling a “tragic case of mistaken identity,” ABC13 in Texas reported.
Nineteen-year-old Joe Argueta, along with his mother and father, 39-year-old Florinda Argueta and 45-year-old Luis Argueta, plus his uncle, 29-year-old Margarito Alcantar, were all charged with the murder of Eddie Clark III, a 29-year-old Black man from Katy, Texas.
This altercation reportedly took place Monday night on May 17, when Clark was cornered, chased down, and shot to death around the corner from his home in the Westminster Landing subdivision of the Houston suburb. The victim was said to have been driving home at the time of the incident. When authorities on the scene around 11:30 p.m., they found Clark’s car crashed into a tree on a ....
