WARREN Free of curfew restrictions and permitted to open poker rooms in mid-March, Ohio’s four casinos posted record revenue last month, according to the latest data from the Ohio Casino Control Commission.
Revenue in March eclipsed $91.6 million, about 35 percent more than revenue reported for February and nearly 200 percent more than March 2020, when casinos closed halfway through the month due to the outbreak.
Table revenue was $23.6 million, up 28 percent from February and slot revenue was $68 million, up 38 percent for the month.
In comparison, in the pandemic-shortened March 2020, table revenue was $9.8 million and slot, $20.9 million.

WARREN Ohio’s four casinos combined lost nearly a quarter of their revenue in 2020 compared to the previous year, revealing the tremendous impact the viral outbreak had on the state’s gaming industry.
The latest report from the Ohio Casino Control Commission shows 2020 revenue was $643.3 million, down 24.3 percent from 2019, when the casinos brought in $850.9 million.
