The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) has sought an additional Rs 100 crore for the timely conclusion of the 19- seater transport
aircraft SARAS.
The Parliamentary Standing
Committee on Science and Technology, Environment, Forests and Climate Change in its report on demand for grants (2021-2022) of DSIR which was presented to both the houses of Parliament on March 8, has stated that the Department has sought Rs 100 crore for the timely conclusion of the aircraft.
“Highlighting the impact of the shortfall in Budget Estimate (BE) 2021-22 allocations, the Department submitted before the Committee that it will require an additional allocation of at least Rs 100 crore, over and above the BE 2021-22 allocations for the Department, to ensure timely completion of the 19-Seat Light Transpo ....

New Delhi [India], March 10 (ANI): The central government on Wednesday received the second interim dividend cheque of Rs 376.94 crores for the financial year 2020-21 from the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
The dividend cheque was handed over to the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh by R. Madhavan, CMD and C. B. Ananthakrishnan, Director (Finance) in the presence of Raj Kumar, Secretary, Defence Production in Delhi today, read a statement by HAL.
As per the statement, the Company had declared the second interim dividend of Rs 15/- per equity share of Rs 10/- each amounting to Rs 501.58 crores on February 26, 2021, in addition to the first interim dividend of Rs 15/- per equity share Rs 10/- each amounting to Rs 501.58 crores already declared on December 9, 2020, total amounting to Rs 1003.16 crores which incl ....
