Halton on track to give all care home residents a first vaccine dose this week
PLANS to give all care home residents in Halton their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine by the end of the week are on track.
The good news was confirmed by NHS Halton Clinical Commissioning Group in an update on the borough’s vaccination programme.
Health chiefs say that the roll-out in the borough is ‘progressing well’ and meeting national targets, with the vaccine set to be offered to the second priority group of people over 70 and the clinically extremely vulnerable this week.
Also on track are plans to give all Halton residents in the top four priority groups a dose of the coronavirus vaccine by mid-February. ....

Warning to older Halton residents about Covid vaccination scam
OLDER residents in Halton are being warned about a Covid vaccination scam.
Halton Borough Council and Halton Clinical Commissioning Group is urging people to be alert, following reports that patients in their 90s in Bolton have received phone calls to say they will be having their Covid vaccinations at home.
The caller goes on to say someone will be coming to their address on a certain time and date to do this and a payment is needed.
This is a scam – no one will be contacted to have their vaccine at home and residents will never be asked for payment. ....
