No change in pattern of infection as Covid rates CONTINUE to rise in Blackburn with Darwen There has been no change in the pattern of increasing infection rates for Blackburn with Darwen as once again coronavirus cases have risen across the borough. In the seven days to March 28, the infection rate in Blackburn with Darwen was at 108.9 cases per 100,000 people. In the seven days to March 27 it was 110.2 per 100,000 people. In the seven days to March 26 it was 115.6 per 100,000 people. And in the seven days to March 25 it was 110.9 per 100,000 people. Blackburn with Darwen is the only borough in East Lancashire to have continually noted a rise in infection rates over the last week.

Concerning data shows infection rates across Blackburn with Darwen have risen for third day in a row The coronavirus infection rate in Blackburn with Darwen is still rising, while rates continue to fall across all other boroughs. The concerning figures, released on Wednesday evening, show that the infection rate for the seven days to March 27 is 110.2 cases per 100,000 people, up from 101.5 from the previous seven days. This is now more than double the infection rate in the Ribble Valley and Pendle, whose rates for the seven days to March 27 are 50.9 and 40.2 respectively.
