HILLMAN Brush Creek Mill recently received a $1,500 Community Impact Grant from the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan. The money will be used to create a second-floor museum, according to the Mill’s Early Spring newsletter.
“We will be filling it with the Mill collections and the collections from the Hillman Area Historical and Genealogical Society,” the newsletter states.
Andy Blinder has willingly taken on the position of museum curator, and other board members, Sue Floer, and the Hillman Area Historical and Genealogical Society will help gather and organize materials and install the museum.
Anyone interested is welcome to attend the next museum/HAHGS meeting at 1 p.m. on April 15 at the Mill. ....
