Board recommends rezoning for Duncan Hill Road apartments
The Hendersonville Planning Board unanimously recommended City Council rezone property that would allow a proposed apartment development on Duncan Hill Road to move forward.
At the same meeting earlier this week, the board didn t make a recommendation on a proposal to add more parking spaces at Pardee Hospital.
If approved, the apartment development would include seven three-story, 12-unit buildings on 8.6 acres. There would be 15 one-bedroom, 48 two-bedroom and 21 three-bedroom apartments.
There would also be a gazebo, playgrounds and a community center. A community center would house the office, laundry facility and a computer lab. All areas of the development would be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.  ....
