Students donated more than 220 pounds of food to Casa San Francisco on March 9.
In-person fourth-graders at H.O. Brittingham Elementary helped their community by collecting food and toiletries during HOB s United in Kindness campaign.
Students in Chrissie Maughan and Joseph Lingo s classes wanted to show their community that they could spread happiness and help others by having a food drive. They planned where to place collections containers, made posters for the school, filmed their own in-school commercial and spread the word throughout their school community. Students used their math skills to calculate the number of total ounces of food donated and converted the total into pounds. ....
