Ottawa added another 237 COVID-19 cases Monday, the province reported nearly 6,000 more infections over two days of the Easter weekend, schools were ordered closed in Peel Region and Ottawa’s medical officer of health joined an “urgent” call for an immediate stay-at-home order in Ontario.
On a bad news Monday, Ottawa’s COVID-19 Testing Task Force said the city’s positivity rate is now 7.8 per cent, more than triple the threshold to be considered in the “red zone” under the province’s colour-coded guide to pandemic restrictions.
