West Liberty University Sets Goal of $150K For Annual Day of Giving | News, Sports, Jobs

West Liberty University will hold its annual Day of Giving today, and has set a lofty goal for donations.
“Our goal this year is to raise $150,000 in just one day,” said Angela Zambito-Hill, executive director of the WLU Foundation. “We are pleased to report we have over $55,000 in matching dollars to empower our donors during this year’s 24-hour giving challenge.”
Donors can earmark gifts during the online and on-phone event to go to the academic program, student life initiative or sports team they choose to unlock those matching dollars. The WLU Foundation also will award a bonus to the three programs with the largest number of donors. ....

RIDGELAND, Miss. (WLBT) - Families with residents in nursing homes may soon be able to see and hug their loved ones again.
Nursing homes and long term care facilities report a dramatic drop in coronavirus cases since the vaccine rollout.
It’s a welcomed shot in the arm for the elderly longing for the return to normalcy.
Residents and staff at the Ridgeland Place retirement facility took the final steps to fight COVID-19 Friday by rolling up their sleeves for the second dose of the vaccine. ....
