The aim of our company is to work with the State Forest Service Guidelines to develop a mitigation plan for your property. If you own a large property, we will work with your forester or recommend one for you. We can thin trees thereby reducing fuels and helping to make your property healthier and safer. In some cases, mitigation might reduce your homeowners insurance (check with your insurance agent). Below is a description of our services. . . Zone 2/3 Wildfire Mitigation. . We Specialize in wildfire Zones 2 and 3. . There are 3 different zones: . Zone 1 is the area closest to the house and extends to 30 feet from the house.. Zone 2 is a transitional zone between zones 1 and 3 and extends 30 to 100 feet around the house.. Zone 3 is an area outside of zones 1 and 2 and extends to the property boundary.. We hope to strike a balance between wildfire mitigation and wildlife habitat.. . Forest Fuel Reduction. . By reducing the ladder fuels you can keep a small fire from reaching into the crowns of the trees and becoming a large fire.. We use low impact mulching equipment to reduce brush, small trees, dead trees and slash piles.. . Tree removal. . We can remove dead, diseased and burned trees. Beetle kill trees will be hauled to a safe site.. You should have an occasional dead tree for wildlife, woodpeckers, owls and other small critters rely on them. .
