Here at sky High Achievers Blacon we endeavour to provide a welcoming atmosphere for your children. Our recent inspection noted''The Staff interact well with the children and carefully plan a range of exciting activities for them to take part in, as a result children are enthusiastic about their learning''. OFSTED 2017. . We provide a range of opportunities for children to engage in and a wide variety of stimulating and educational activities. Our focus is learning through play and we have an extensive and well resourced outside area.. . Through regular observation, planning and assessment our children are able to progress in all areas of their development whilst paying particular attention to their individual needs.. ''Staff have developed good relationships with the children and are are responsive to children's individual needs'' in addition the report noted ''Staff provide exceptional care and comfort to the children and they are well prepared for their future education'', OFSTED 2017. . Our nursery benefits from extensive on sight security system throughout the whole centre, including CCTV, buzzer system and key pads on all entrance doors. Only authorized persons will ever gain access on to nursery premises. . . We are very aware of the importance of providing a positive influence on children's experiences, opinions and attitudes towards food and a healthy lifestyle. Our menu's are award winning and have been approved by paediatric dieticians. To support their experience, practitioner's sit with the children at meal times and role model by eating the same meals as the children to encourage the children to taste a variety of foods. Meal times are seen as a social occasion and children are encouraged to talk to each another, offering opportunities to expand vocabulary and listening skills. We offer an extensive and nutritionally balanced menu, which is regularly reviewed to incorporate fresh, seasonal produce. All special dietary requirements are catered for and all meals are provided on site by our cook. weekly menus are displayed on our parents notice board.. . We offer free and subsidised places for 2, 3, and 4 year old children as well as private day care and Pre-school education. Full and half day sessions available. Open Monday to Friday 8am-6pm.
