What great justification when in doubt whether to leave your house or tired of the humdrum life. So I set out in search of adventure and the miraculous across the globe. I slept on our Mother Earth under a canopy of stars, or when the area provided a hostel, I would stay there. Both were great in their own way, as anyone can attest. But there was something I learned about myself on these travels. No matter how great the adventure, at some point I always longed for home. Ironically, as many have discovered, when you return home you may shortly find that a twitch has developed in your leg and you want to head right back out the door.. . Bon Paul & Sharky’s was built with this understanding. Here you will find a place to call home for a few days while relaxing, having fun, and interacting with other like- minded travelers – a break from your adventure, and yet still adventure in itself.. . The Name -. . Bon Paul and Sharky were born long ago and both died in time consecutively thereafter. They are buried beside the French Broad River underneath an old maple tree, side by side to watch forever the water passing. Bon Paul and Sharky were two gold fish, best of friends and best of friends to me. To their memory, this hostel has been named. . .
