Detailed description is This program is designed for students who want to enter directly into the workforce in the field upon earning an associate degree. The MPFS program is a unique program to Eastern Oklahoma State College (EOSC). EOSC is the only two year college in the state that has a fully operational state inspected meat processing facility on-site. This provides students hands on experience in the areas of live animal harvest, fabrication of raw product, specialty meats, and further processed meat items. Individuals completing this degree program have started their own processing facility, managed within an existing processing facility, started a career in food safety, and have worked for wholesale distributors. The area of quality assurance and food safety is raidly growing. Individuals interested should contact the Agriculture Department at EOSC.
