Fire Ridge Cabin is secluded on 3 -1/2 acres bordered by Pike National Forest that managed to survive the largest wild fire in Colorado history -The Hayman Fire/2002.. There are an additional 6 -1/2 acres across the road near the base of Sheep's Nose - an amazing and beautiful rock formation. This is a professional climb that draws people from all over the country. Another 3 to 4 miles to the West is another professional climb, Turkey Rock Climbing area.. . If you are love bringing your horses, there is a large fenced area for them as well.. You must provide your own feed.. . If you are a rock hound we have found smoky quartz points and other minerals in the surrounding forest. . . This area is also know for it's many ATV Trails about 40 miles close by.. also Rainbow Falls and others that can be easily trailered to.. . . Approximately 20 minutes from the cabin North on Hwy 67 is Gold medal Trout Fishing where the North and South Platte Rivers meet near Deckers.. For lake fishing Manitou Lake is a great family daytime excursion.. about 20 minutes from the cabin South on Hwy. 67. . . Many come to this area for hunting, some trophy Elk among the spoils. This was Ute hunting area in the warmer seasons.. you will see some prayer trees on the property from those days gone by. . . The cabin itself is newly renovated and very cute.. It has an open living space with living room (which has a fireplace) and dining room, the bright cheery kitchen opens to the living area with a breakfast bar. There are 3 good sized bedrooms, and two full bathrooms, a laundry room with Washer and Dryer. There is a small deck off the Master bedroom and a three car garage.. Lots of parking, picnic table and large outdoor fire pit.
