Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. We provide child care services for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school aged children (up to 12 years of age).. . Our Director and Lead Educator are trained professionals who are licensed by the EEC and CPR / First Aid certified. They have expertise on topics such as:. • Reducing the risk of SIDS / Safe Sleep. • Medication Administration. • Nutrition and Serving Adequate Foods in Child Care. • Choking Prevention.. . In addition, our Program Director has a Master’s Degree in Education, focused in Nutrition, and is ServSafe Manager certified. As you can imagine, serving nutritious food that has been handled properly is of utmost importance to us! Our program director also has a child with a number of food allergies, including peanuts. For that reason, we have decided to run a peanut free program. Rest assured, with her nutrition background and ServSafe certification, all program food will be prepared very carefully with food allergies in mind. . . Our primary goal is to provide children with the opportunity to learn through child-driven, play-based and teacher led curriculum. We want children enrolled in our program to feel secure, confident and happy so that they can learn through hands-on experience and most importantly, have fun!!. . We believe that a friendly, nurturing environment filled with laughter will provide your children with the ability to grow physically, emotionally and socially, develop self-esteem and establish friendships.. . An average day at our center includes activities focused on academics, music, games, dramatic play, stories and arts and crafts to name a few. You’ll know how your child is progressing based on feedback that we will provide through regular progress reports.. . Your children may also comment on ‘special’ friends that they meet here at the Laugh & Learn Academy on occasion. Our curriculum will include occasional visits from our local police and fire departments, teachers, librarians, and friends certified in ASL (American Sign Language). And, of course, parents are always welcome to visit and explain details about their professions!. .
