Detailed description is Melanie Budreck's Music Lessons- . . Beginner/intermediate piano lessons, classical/pop/jazz voice lessons and violin/viola lessons for children of all ages! Hi, all, my name is Melanie Budreck.. . After previously working at two separate music schools, I have decided that starting my own business where I am allowed to freely use my own teaching methods and incorporate an individual twist to accommodate each child is the best course of action to fully benefit my students! . . My love for music began early on in life, but I was mostly impacted by my experiences in the Elk Grove High School music program. I played viola in the Concert Orchestra my freshman year and then, after auditioning, was one of three sophomores to be accepted into the Symphony Orchestra. I spent the majority of my time in the music program holding the role of a leader, I was a board member on the Tri-M Music Honors Society and earned the National Orchestra Award at the end of my senior year. . . I am a vocal performance/music therapy double major, but my passion will always be to educate and share my love for music with the musicians of tomorrow. I have been playing the viola for 12.5 years and singing my entire life, I am a member of the Harper College Symphony Orchestra, the Harper College Jazz Band and the Harper College Concert Choir/Spectra Ensemble. I've had the pleasure of traveling all over the country and performing in places like Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.. . Throughout my life, I have worked with children of all ages in many different settings. I've done everything from teaching preschool-aged group music classes to working with advanced teenage musicians. My goal is to not only provide my students with knowledge on musicianship, basic theory and performance techniques, but to learn with them and improve musically as they do! . . I have been teaching music lessons for the last 2.5 years in a professional setting, but I have worked with children and friends to build their musical knowledge on my own time much longer than that. Building relationships and getting children excited about music is the greatest feeling in the world. . . As of right now, my availability to teach includes all day Friday and Saturday evenings post 4:00! . . For private lessons, my prices are as follows. . . 30 minute lesson- $20. 45 minute lesson- $30. 60 minute lesson- $42 . . For each new student to enroll, I will provide a discounted "trial lesson" to meet the student, spend time discussing their goals and begin to show them my teaching methods. . . For parents who decide to enroll more than once child, there will be a "$2 off" tuition discount to show my appreciation for supporting my business! . . I will be holding recitals for your children every 5-6 months to show their progress and build their confidence as performers! These will most likely be held at the same location as their lessons! . . I look forward to meeting your children and sharing my love and passion for music with each and every one of them!
