Detailed description is Mercy College Graduate Program in Physician Assistant Studies Mercy College's graduate program in Physician Assistant studies traveled with the program's Director Lorraine Cashin RPA-C, Giovanni Ocampo RPA- C and Professor Danielle Gagner RPA-C, along with other medical practitioners (physicians and PAs a like) in different subspecialties to Mali, a country in western Africa. Thanks to a classmate and her family, while there the students of the program and the practitioners worked side by side with Malian Physicians in an established hospital and clinic. . . A special relationship was built with the Malian health care providers to continue the partnership to improve the availability of health care and medication for the people of Mali. . . In May of 2012 students who previously participated in this medical mission from the PA program class of 2012, and students from the PA program class of 2013 will be traveling back to Mali to continue collaborating with the Malian physicians and strengthening the bond as well as carrying out the mission statement of Mercy College's Graduate Program in PA studies to strive to serve the undeserved population as mid- level medical practitioners.
