Detailed description is The WWU Longboard Club is sending it in search of dryer and more challenging hills! Stay updated to see our media! Join the WWU Longboarding Club as we migrate to better weather and better skating! Western Washington University, nestled cozily into the hillside of Sehome hill in Bellingham Washington, can get a bit dreary in the winter months. Cool temperatures, cloudy skies, and most of all rainy weather, make it tough to skate as it gets closer to the holidays. So every winter break the WWULC sends it somewhere better!. . This trip, however, is not merely an effort to get in more skating during the winter months. It is also an attempt to set the bar for university involvement in the sport of longboarding everywhere. In hopes of getting more universities involved in longboarding, the WWU Longboard Club will be filming the whole trip, so that other members of longboard clubs on college campuses will be inspired to get their universities involved in the sport as well. Having universities involved in longboarding will not only help improve the image of the sport, but will give college skaters access to resources that they would otherwise not have. All those tuition payments have to be going somewhere right? . . After the trip is over and the experience has been captured on film, we want to share it with everyone. We will release a documentary highlighting the trip and all the wacky skateboarding adventures that are sure to come from it. Hopefully it will inspire universities to get involved, students to take the initiative to push longboarding at their universities, and skaters to go hit the streets.. .
