Detailed description is .Prinjastin K Sykes. age 23 years old. When PJ aged out of the foster care system at 18, two months later he found himself homeless out on the street. Even though things were hard he continued his passion of performing poetry with a nonprofit called art from ashes. A program, that works with struggling youth. PJ then learned about the Bridging the Gap Program at Mile High United Way. a program that provides resources to any youth that was in foster care on or after their 16th birthday. He received a housing voucher through the Family Unification Program. PJ was able to become stable and get on his feet. PJ has always been able to maintain a job. Through his networking. in 2013 PJ started a paid internship as an administrative assistant at the Supreme Court building downtown for the Office of Child Representative. Last year PJ landed another paid internship for the Office of Homeless youth and Development where he worked with the Housing authority. For the past two years things in his life moved really fast PJ now has a baby girl. PJ is a truly inspiring hard working articulate young man who is destined to follow his dreams of being a professional poet/rapper and having the financial stability to support his family. He currently works for Jefferson county road and bridge. He also recently has been transforming his poetry into music to deliver a strong message to the world. He had his first concert on May 29th. He is now looking for sponsors to push his music career to the next level. He is a man that is dedicated, motivated and inspiring to achieve so much with so little. consistency is the name of the game. although life brings you down you don't have to speak the language of victimization,
