Detailed description is Engaging the public to get involved with community policing and take advantage of RCMP presentations for youth organizations and groups in the Gander Area. The Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation Band and the RCMP are working together to build a worthwhile work experience for aboriginal youth who are interested in a career in policing and/or justice. This summer program will provide everyone from youth to elders with presentations, activities and company. Our presentations will provide awareness on different kinds of violence/abuse, anti-bullying, drug/alcohol, distracted/impaired driving, bike safety, fraud, and crimes against property. While trying to promote positive police-youth contacts.
