Detailed description is The Argument Club is a place to practice and learn how to argue in an intelligent way about all kinds of things.
We keep it fun, deep, and interesting.
Do you feel that our society is often too afraid of an argument and/or avoids too many topics for fear of offending others? The Argument Club is a place for us to come and exercise our argumentation skills in a respectful and informal way.
We will argue (not fight) about all kinds of topics like: 1) Who is the better quarterback, Tom Brady or Peyton Manning; 2) Is Pre-Marital Sex morally right, wrong or neither and why; 3) Is hitchhiking dangerous or not and would you try it; 4) Does love really “exist” and if so, is it something we should value; 5) Is Nicki Minaj a good role model? We will, by practice, explore how to build a solid argument, how to identify and/or break down bad arguments.
Most of all, we will just plain have fun exploring interesting and controversial topics.
