Detailed description is The 21st CCLC program provide academic enrichment opportunities during non school hours for children. The 2016-17 project year will begin August 18th 2016. Eastpoint program is housed at the Franklin County Learning Center, located at 85 School Road, and is open from 3:15 – 6:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Carrabelle Municipal Complex site, located at 1001 Gray Avenue, is open from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.. . The 21st CCLC program provide academic enrichment opportunities during non school hours for children. The prorgram is designed to help students meet state and local standards in core academic subjects, in addition it offers students enrichment activities to complement their regular academic programs. The program also offeres literacy and other educational services to participationg children.. . The Nest is a 21st Century Community Learning Center administered by the Franklin County School District and open to students in grades Pre-K-8th grades. We have an exciting year planned with student-driven project-base learing activities and character education. The project based activities will present hands on opportunties to use reading, math, science and technolgy. We also be scheduling parent involvement and family literacy night activties. . . Bus transportation is provided to both sites following the final bell. Pre-K students living in Eastpoint will enter our program at the Franklin County Learning Center. (Carrabelle Pre-Kers will be bused to the Carrabelle site.) New transportation department requirements this year specify that students riding the morning bus in one city cannot attend a Nest location in a different city. For instance, if a student rides the Apalachicola bus, he or she will not be permitted to be dropped off at the Eastpoint Nest. . .
