Detailed description is A local 'Chatter' pub without TVs or jukebox, which serves local beers and food in excellent condition. Family and dog-friendly, we welcome you. Housed in the oldest timber-framed building in Yorkshire (1270), the building is of huge historic importance to Beverley, having originally been a commercial warehouse for corn bequeathed to Beverley Minster, surviving the near-ruin of the town after the Reformation and being recorded as a public house from the mid-17th century onwards. . Today it enjoys a growing reputation for serving fine locally-brewed beers in the best condition, plus a full range of other drinks. . It is one of the few pubs in town to welcome dogs (and their owners) and has the finest beer garden in Beverley (a real garden, not a car park or pavement), with a superb view of Beverley Minster (especially impressive at night when it's illuminated). . It's a 'Chatter' pub - no recorded music or TV to distract from the pleasure of eating and drinking in good company. . We look forward to welcoming you.
