UT Dallas’ Office of Emergency Management is established within the Department of Environmental Health and Safety. The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is committed to create a prepared university community of students, faculty, and staff through collaborative disaster preparedness and response/recovery training and education. Our goal is to create a campus-wide awareness and provide proactive solutions before, during, and after a disaster for the benefit of the university. The Office of Emergency Management works closely with the Campus Community Emergency Response Team (C-CERT) to train students, faculty, and staff in disaster preparedness and response to provide leadership and coordination during an emergency. Members of the C-CERT team will provide critical support to professional responders and immediate assistance to victims. CERT is always open to new members and conduct CERT training classes at least once a semester.
