Tree of Life Congregation, the newest One New Man Congregation in the Twin Cities, was started March 5, 2016 by Messianic Rabbi Ed & Rebbetsen Alberta Rothman.
Together, in 1976, they helped Rev.
Norm Nelson to start the 1st Messianic Congregation in the Twin Cities, known as Messianic Jewish Congregation or MJC.
Together, in 1982, they were used of God to begin Seed of Abraham, the oldest Messianic Congregation in the Twin Cities..

Etz Chaiyeem – Tree of Life will be distinctive from other Messianic or Jewish/Hebraic Roots congregations as Y’shua (Jesus) the Messiah will be pre-eminent in ALL things, above the traditions of man, be they Jewish or Christian.
Not that these traditions are of no value, we will enjoy some of them as the Ruach (Spirit) directs us to and it brings revelation of & glory to Y’shua! We are just choosing that the person & priority of Y’shua (Jesus) the Messiah as revealed in God’s Word will be our major focus.
As Y’shua Himself said, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33) and John 4:23-24 “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”.

We have been actively involved in the Messianic, Jewish & Hebraic Roots movements since 1976 (over 40 years) and have seen a lot of imbalance and extremes that minimize what is MOST important to God and maximize what is LEAST important to Him.
Y’shua described this as being blind guides, who strain at a gnat and end up swallowing a camel.” (Matthew 23:24) .
