Detailed description is Amaranth Acres Performance Horses is a new full training facility for Reining, Ranch riding and Pleasure horses. From Starting colts to finished show horses. We are accepting new horses for training. Lessons, coaching also available! Welcome Non Pros. Amaranth Acres Performance Horses is an exciting new equestrian facility that has been dreamed of for generations. . We have a brand new 70x120 indoor arena and a 100x200 outdoor arena. The interior finish is a work in progress. Planned are 8 large box stalls, tack room and wash rack with hot water. Horses will have individual turn outs on grassy runs.. Our trainer,Ashleigh Stoeckle, specializes in reining, ranch riding and starting 2 yr olds. and is experienced in all disciplines. She is now available for lessons and will start taking in horses for training as soon as the barn interior is completed.. . Why the name Amaranth? As we were struggling to come up with a new farm name, with no success, we started naming less than desirable attributes to the farm, like box elder hill, or thistle downs and the name amaranth was brought up as the scientific name for pigsweed. We laughed and moved on. Later Amaranth came up again and we looked up other meanings. There are over 60 species of flowers in the amaranth family, and plants that produce grain. What really interested us was the word amaranth comes from the Greek word amaranton, meaning "unwilting". . At Amaranth Acres Performance Horses we will strive to be "unwilting" as we work towards our goal of providing an excellent place to help others reach their equestrian dreams!
