Detailed description is EDEN in the mountains is a non-profit 501C3 organization devoted to holistic and Christ-centered healing.
Founders: David and Kim Hostetter What started in conception as a simple thought fleeting in the mind of Kim Hostetter became a traveling vision as Kim and David Hostetter relocated from a quaint beach town in Florida to began to plant roots in North Carolina.
The traditional retired life in a typical American Dream house became a memory and a tent became their new home.
With the combined experience of Kim and David, the project began.
The Lord made a way for the purchase of 35 acres of land in western North Carolina in the historic town of Old Fort.
Instead of waking up blocks from any water, the Hostetters began each day enjoying the sound of a rushing creek and being surrounded by natural beauty.
This new experience fueled their vision to see life differently.
Skipping ahead about 2 years, in 2014 they are nearing the completion of a strawbale constructed house and the soon addition of guest housing.
Fears continue to be left behind, and Kim and David say yes to God.
Yes, we will dare to go.
Yes, we will do something crazy.
Yes, we will leave friends and family.
Yes, we will leave our land.
Why? We know who our God is.
The future of EDEN in the mountains exists on this principle of love.
With hope and faith the vision to see a community of people living together in unity thrives..

David and Kim have both operated a Raw Organic Restaurant in Flagler Beach, Florida and are cultured in the plant-based food world.
Shopping organic is natural to them, and they do their best to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
With this experience, they desire to help others do the same..

In the near future, EDEN in the mountains will offer seven to ten day wellness clinics, guest housing, residential housing, art and organic construction workshops, and opportunities for organic farming.
