Detailed description is School for prospective Joint Fires Observers (JFO) at Domeij Hall (Bldg 2895), on Fort Sill, OK. . Report to Domeij Hall at 0730 on the first day of class, NOT 0630 at Snow Hall.. JFO's provide the capability to exploit those opportunities that exist in the operational environment where a trained observer can efficiently support air delivered fires, surface to surface fires, and facilitate targeting. The JFOs add warfighting capability but do not circumvent or nullify the need for a qualified Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) or Forward Air Controller-Airborne (FAC(A)) during Close Air Support (CAS) operations. Skilled JFOs, teamed with JTACs act as extensions of the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) and enhance the maneuver units' access to Joint Fires.. . • Fiscal Year JFO Course schedule is maintained in ATRRS. . • JFO Course attendance requests: All FORSCOM Soldiers and units requesting resident and mobile training team (MTT) contact 910-570-5367 for enrollment, all others contact your G-3/DPTMS to submit an A-1 application.. . . VIEWING THE WEBPAGE - You MUST be logged in to AKO to view the Joint and Combined Integration website. Then click on the "JFO" tab. https://www.us.army.mil/suite/page/381318. .
